About

Round Rock Art Council

The Round Rock Area Arts Council, dba Round Rock Arts, wants to involve you with the arts and culture scene in Round Rock! With three excellent performance and art shows under our belt, a successful Chalk Walk event in October 2010, and the opening of our gallery in downtown Round Rock in May 2010, art initiatives in Round Rock are increasingly supported by government, corporations, and artists alike. With two theater groups, two symphonies, a community choir, and talented artists whose works are displayed in various venues around town, this “Sports Capital of Texas” has hit a home run in encouraging the creative class.

  1. Ted says:

Who got the grants? What kind of art do they do? Are any of these educational grants? As a student at the Art Institute of Austin and a long time Round Rock resident, how would someone apply for such a grant?

  2. Grants are awarded to non-profit organizations holding a 501 (c) (3) status.. Awards went to the Round Rock Community Choir, Penfold Theatre, Sam Bass Community Theatre, Williamson County Symphony Orchestra, and Round Rock Symphony Orchestra.
