Discovering Your Creative Side with Acrylics!
The focus of this workshop is to give participants both helpful resource information (workshops, supplies, etc.) and an opportunity to explore one’s own interest in creativity by with “playing with paints” using acrylics, mediums and household objects found around the home! The goal is leave the workshop with helpful lists of resources, feeling encouraged to explore one’s own creativity and having the opportunity to create a painting to take home! The workshop will include introductions/icebreakers (non-threatening!), a breakdown of painting supplies, demos, information on workshops, creative exercises and guided experimentation time using acrylic paints.

Registration closes on June 11, midnight
Cost: $60 plus $15 supply fee. The supply fee is paid to the teacher at the beginning of class.
Students are asked to provide:
* 2-3 canvas boards 11 x 14
* (1-3 OR Value priced set) colored pencils
* (2-3 brushes OR Value-priced brush set) paint brushes for acrylics
* “Student” grade paints in a variety of colors (white, black ,red, blue, yellow, orange)
About the artist:
Dawn Winter has been creating colorful, abstract paintings ever since a trip to Santa Fe, NM inspired her to explore her own creativity. A love for abstract and landscape abstract paintings, along with using a palette knife has led to displaying and selling her artwork in Austin, TX and elsewhere for the past 10 years.
