Photographic Art: A Critique Workshop
November 5 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm UTC+0 at The Downtowner Art Gallery $60
Be among this group of photographers who bring up to ten of their photographs for evaluation and critique by an accomplished photo judge and professionally-trained published practitioner in the photographic arts. Learn how to recognize strengths and weaknesses in images which impact the viewers of your photos. Understand what editors and judges look for in photographic image evaluation. Participants are invited to bring photos in either digital or print form for this 3-hr workshop. To get the most out of this activity, bring some of your best work as well as some pictures you tried- but that “didn’t quite work” as you had hoped. Most successful photographers readily admit they learn the most from constructive group critiques such as this workshop. Your photography will definitely improve!

About the Instructor:
For 20+ years, Ted Keller was trained in photography by National-Geographic-published photographers and many other acclaimed “Master” professional photographers and instructors as a participant, co-owner, and officer of a prominent national photography workshop company sponsored by Nikon, Inc. He served on the Board of Directors for 10 years and as Corporate President four years. In those roles, he received extensive photographic training for assisting “Master” professional photographers in leading workshops and teaching advanced photography to participants in 2-5 day workshops within U.S. National Parks. His images have been published nationally in books, magazines, brochures, and a variety of advertising media. Multiple greeting card vendors have featured Ted’s photos on their products since 1995. Walls of homes, offices and hospitals are decorated with enlargements of his work sold in his gallery, on-line, and in exhibits across Central Texas. He has published an inspirational coffee table book titled: “Fifty Feisty Photos for Daily Encouragement.”
Ted has been providing classes, workshops, and personal training throughout Central Texas for over 9 years helping others improve their skills in producing photographic art. He belongs to the Williamson County Art Guild, where he served two terms as President, and is an active member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), the Artists of Central Texas.
