What has changed compared to the past Imagine Shows?
In 2018, we concluded 10 years of Imagine. Due to the great success of our galleries in 2018, with attendance meeting or exceeding Imagine 2017 and 2018 gallery openings, Round Rock Arts decided to remove the gala aspect of this winter event, and the related costs, to create a free show. By the close of 2018, 350-750 patrons were attending our gallery openings featuring competitively juried and judged works. The October ArtSpace opening of Dia de los Muertos had the largest attendance, exceeding 750 patrons.
Unlike previous years, there will be no alcohol served. This move allows us to include Round Rock ISD students as performers. The food and non-alcoholic drink offerings will be similar to all of our competitive gallery openings. Light snacks will be served. The event wraps up with the announcement of awards.
What has not changed compared to past Imagine Shows?
As usual, we will be offering cash awards in the categories of Photography, 2D, and 3D. We will also have three performing art groups.
The schedule includes:
6:00: Doors open
6:30: Stoney Point Showstoppers Choir Performance
7:15: Central Texas Philharmonic Orchestra (formerly Round Rock Symphony) Quartet
7:45: Ballet Folklorico (small group)
Between 8:10 and 8:20: Awards presentation begins
