
Call for Art: Celebrating Cultures
🎨✨ Round Rock Arts invites artists of all backgrounds to join us in a joyful celebration of the many cultures that make our world so vibrant. This exhibit is about sharing stories through art—whether it’s clothing and attire, music and dance, food and festivals, customs and traditions, or any other way you celebrate culture and community. We welcome your unique voice and vision!
All mediums are welcome—painting, sculpture, photography, fiber arts, mixed media, and beyond.
📍 Exhibit Location: Texas State University, Round Rock Campus
⏰ Submission Deadline: October 20th
Notification Date: October 27th
Drop off Date: November 2nd, 2pm – 4pm
Artist Reception: November 16th, 2pm – 4pm
Pick up Date: January 11th, 2pm – 4pm

What You Will Need to Apply
The entry application form requires:
– Credit card or debit card for payment of $30 Entry Fee
– Title of work
– Medium
– Dimensions (H” x L” x D”)
– Weight (lb.)
– Inspiration Statement, including how the artwork relates to the show’s theme
– If there are specialized hanging requirements for the artwork
– Whether the art is for sale or not (NFS)
– If it is for sale, the price (in $USD)
– In the event of a sale, indicate if you will donate 25% of the sale price to Round Rock Arts
– One JPG image per artwork submitted for jury process and (if accepted) social media
– Filename formatted ARTWORK TITLE_YOUR LAST NAME (Maximum accepted file size 5MB)
GENERAL RULES for SUBMITTING ARTWORK
Eligibility: Entrants must be at least 16 years old. Artists under 18 must have written parental consent.
Originality: Only original artwork of original subject matter created by the submitting artist is accepted. No AI work will be accepted. Please do not enter any artwork that has been on display at Texas State within the past 24 months. Artwork that violates copyright will not be accepted.
Availability: Submitted work must be available for the full exhibit duration and not booked elsewhere for the same dates. If submitted artwork is not for sale, the price noted should be “NFS.”
Commitment: Accepted work must remain on view for the entire show. No substitutions or early removals allowed.

Acrylic, Ceramics, Charcoal, Collage, Digital (in a 2D or 3D format), Glasswork, Graphite, Metal, Mixed Media, Oil, Pastles, Photography*, Sculpture, Textile, Watercolor, or Woodwork

Hanging pieces:
Maximum size: 96″ x 96″ x 5″
Maximum weight: 20 lbs.
Minimum size: 5″ x 5″ x 1″
Free-standing / Pedestal pieces:
Maximum height: 84″
Maximum width/depth: 36″ x 36″
Maximum weight: 30 lbs.
Content
Art must be family-friendly and suitable for public display. Liability: All artists must accept the Artist Agreement and Waiver of Liability during the application process.
Right of Rejection
Round Rock Arts reserves the right to reject any work that is:
– unsafe
– misrepresented
