Current Galleries-Round Rock, Texas

Round Rock Arts manages the art hung in three galleries. There is no fee to view the art in these publicly funded spaces. Donations are warmly accepted at the Downtowner Gallery and during our competitive shows. We make no net income through our calls for art, and we do not take commissions on sales of art that are part of the gallery exhibits.

The Downtowner Art Gallery, 231 E. Main, Ste 160, October 23-November 17
RRA presents the results of the first call for art in the renovated space. We Are Round Rock is a call that did not define the theme. Come and see how the 26 selected artists express the title of the show in the 29 works on display.

The Downtowner Gallery can hold up to 30 smaller pieces on the hard surfaces. The gallery is open during business hours, located at the bottom of each webpage.

Texas State University-Round Rock Campus, Avery Building, 1555 University Blvd., September 27-December 6

The Fall Show represents art in all formats. There was no theme. This is a competitive show. Thirteen artists received awards in three categories: 3D, 2D, and Honorable Mention. They included:
Photography: Gary Hook, 1st place; Lisa Zinna, 2nd place; Dee Darius Sams, 3rd place
3D: Michael Miller, 1st place; Ailene Pylant, 2nd place; Erick Rodriquez, 3rd place
2D: Hyekeun Park, 1st place; Gary Lovelace, 2nd place; Rhea Pettit, 3rd place. Honorable mentions: Sharon “Loy” Anderson, Larry Jolly, Lynn Kessel, Flor Rondon de Segovia.

The galleries at TXST-RR can hold up to 120 average-sized pieces in the main galleries and up to 45 total in the three side galleries. The gallery is open during university hours.

Note that you should park in the paid parking lot. You may go to the Administration office on the 4th floor of the Avery Building and ask for a parking voucher or the 2nd (main) floor office in the vestibule at the front of Avery if the Administration office is closed.

This gallery can support 30-50 pieces depending on the sizes of the works. Parking is free. The gallery is open 8-5, Friday-Saturday.
